OUR IMPACT
-
SCHOLARSHIPS
We aim to cultivate the next generation of talented, dedicated and diverse athletic trainers by providing resources, educational opportunities, and financial aid to pursue their goals in the field.
-
HEALTHCARE
Ensuring the health and well-being of both individuals and communities is at the core of the NBATA Foundation’s mission. We strive to strengthen overall human welfare, enhancing the quality of care in underserved communities, and inspire philanthropic investment and impact in the world of sports medicine and beyond.
-
POSITIVE CHANGE
The NBATA Foundation recognizes the profound influence that basketball has on local communities and society. We firmly believe in harnessing this influence to address critical social issues, contribute to local development, fund social justice initiatives, and support equal rights and opportunities.

“I have always loved helping people, learning about the body and being involved in sports. After watching my high school athletic trainers care for their athletes and build trusting relationships with them, I knew that athletic training was the profession for me. I believe AT’s play a vital role in their athlete’s healthcare, and overall athletic experience, and I have truly enjoyed providing care to my athletes.”

MEET MOISÉS
“I tore my ACL playing high school football right around college application time. While rehabbing with two different athletic trainers, I realized I could stay involved with sports without being an athlete or coach and still do something that intrigued me like rehab did. While considering this, I reflected on not ever having interacted with any AT’s of color in my 10+ years of playing sports. I wanted to be a part of change in representation in the profession and that is my “why” for pursuing this profession.”
